The all-electric Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X have been awarded the maximum 5-star Euro NCAP safety and Green NCAP ratings
Both are developed from the Sustainable Experience Architecture platform which incorporates advanced driver assistance, powertrain, and chassis technologies fundamental to their safety and EV power efficiency
2024 May 29, Gothenburg, Sweden – The all-electric Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X have both been awarded 5-star ratings from Euro NCAP, the highest possible in one of the world’s most respected consumer safety assessments, which in 2024 was performed under more stringent protocols than in previous years. Both models have also received maximum 5-star Green NCAP ratings. These results reflect the advanced safety features of Zeekr vehicles and their contributions towards sustainable development.
The Zeekr 001, the shooting brake, and Zeekr X, the compact luxury SUV, developed from the state-of-the-art Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform for pure EVs, have been awarded the maximum safety ratings thanks to the inherently high levels of crash protection engineered into their body structures, together with advanced driver assistance functions including a sophisticated Autonomous Emergency Braking system (AEB) that responds to vulnerable road users as well as to other vehicles, a Driver Monitoring System (DMS) that warns them if they show signs of fatigue or distraction, and a Child Presence Detection system (CPD) that alerts drivers to the presence of children or pets inadvertently left in the rear seat of the vehicle.
Both models also earned the highest ratings in the Green NCAP assessments. The Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X boast high energy efficiency and competitive performance through intelligent thermal management systems with heat pump technologies to reduce energy consumption and increase real-world range.
